At the time of writing there was one crime, on the A5, during the last period. Incident No 232 02/10/2018 – Watling Street, Clifton – 50 gallons of diesel has been stolen from a Caterpillar digger.
The Clifton Community Speed Watch team has started monitoring the speed of traffic though the village with the following results in the 20 mph zone: Lilbourne Road, 32 vehicles checked one doing 27 mph. Rugby Road, 36 vehicles checked two doing 25 mph and one doing 26 mph. More checks to follow.
The police have warned of many scams about at present so please be careful with: Mattress sellers; House insulation; Apple Pay; Spotify Premium; TV Licence refunds; Landlines being hijacked; HMRC refunds; Sim card swaps; Phone and Internet Service providers threatening to cease your service. Please remember the MOBILE POLICE STATION is available for you in Lilbourne Rd from 11.00am to 12.00 noon on specific dates. The next one will be on Wednesday 19th December and notices will be placed on the village notice boards.

Please see the below information regarding the bin collections over Christmas. All bins that are affected will be tagged to advise residents of the changes.
- There will be no green garden waste collections during w/c Monday 24 December or Monday 31 December 2018.
- Black refuse and blue-lid recycling collections due on Tuesday 25 December will be made on Saturday 22 December 2018.
- Black refuse and blue-lid recycling collections due on Wednesday 26 December will be made on Saturday 29 December 2018.
All other collection days will remain as normal, including on Tuesday 1 January 2019.
