At the time of writing there were three reported crimes in our area during the last period: Violent Crime in North Road, Public Disorder in South Road and Burglary in Elms Paddock.

With cold weather arriving, the police have advised motorists not to leave their car running to defrost it while they go back inside the house. This is an opportunity for criminals to take the contents of the car or even to take the car itself.

The police are reminding residents to leave a light on somewhere in the house when the house is left unoccupied in the dark evenings. A dark house can be a message to criminals that there is no one at home.
