Report from Clifton Neighbourhood Watch – October 2019

CLIFTON NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH

David Glover has decided to step down as chairman of Clifton Neighbourhood Watch after several years’ service. If you would like to take over from David please contact Steve Woodford on 01788 561996.

At the time of writing there was 1 reported crime during the last period: Incident 19 16/09/2019 – South Road, Clifton; At 1.11am 2 males have been disturbed inside a vehicle, no damage has been caused to the vehicle but a Nokia phone was taken.

Restricted visibility caused by vegetation growing on the Heras fencing in Main Street was causing a problem for motorists trying to pull out of South Road. This was reported to the highway authority and the developer of the property was served with a notice to remove it.

The developer has now removed it and visibility has improved. The Heras fencing still restricts visibility, but this should improve once the temporary fencing has been removed and the original boundary restored.
